RESEARCH RATIONAL –
My aim for this week is to plan out a day which I can gather more
information from different ways of research, how I could gain more knowledge
over what my target Audience expect from a horror trailer. Some ideas that I am
thinking of going forward are;
·
Creating
a Survey/Questionnaire – Once I come up with questions relating to Horror,
I want to ask questions that I can take forwards and make sure I consider the
audiences feedback for when I begin producing. I want to be able to tick all
the boxes that will prove that I have listened to each audience that
answers/fills-out the Survey/Questionnaire.
·
Movie
Reaction - gathering a bunch of people to watch a Horror movie of my
choice. This will be recording while they watch the movie for me then to watch
back and take notes from where each and every individual most jumped and felt a
reaction to the film; either from the sounds or imagery etc. I want to find out
a bit more to what scares people the most while watching a movie.
·
Gathering
people that enjoy Horror Movies – Having a group to
watch a trailers, to ask some questions based on what they have seen and
record feedback.
·
Gather
people that don’t enjoy watching Horror Movies – Having to gather some
people that don’t prefer watching Horror Movies as it scares them the most.
This kind of research will give more knowledge over those individuals that find
Horror Movies scary and why they find it.
·
A two way
Debate – Having two sides, (One side – People that love Horror Movies) + (One
side – People that dislike Horror Movies) – I want to see where an argument would
lead to if I have two sides that are opposite from each other, how they would
argue what they believe and think about Horror in general.
·
Gather a
mixture of people – Ages from 15 years and over until 17 years. To Sit them
in the dark and play them different movie soundtracks to find out what types of
sounds they find most scary.
My possible Target
Audience/Market – Around the ages of 15 years and over
